'할 수 있다'는 조동사 CAN의 의미와, 뜻을 함께 하는 사람들이 모이면 엄청난 시너지를 일으킬 것이라는 믿음에서 출발했다.
공간은 삶과 문화, 나아가 사회를 변화시킬 수 있을 정도로 막강한 힘을 가진다.
따라서 공간과 사람, 그들간의 관계에 대한 진지한 사유를 바탕으로 더 나은 방향과 결과가 무엇일지 항상 질문하고 탐구한다.
본질은 담기되, 기존의 관습을 그대로 따르기보다 다양한 방향의 접근과 질문을 통해 시간이 지나도 변하지 않는 가치를 담을 수 있는 공간과 건축을 추구한다.
Studio CAN is a design group dedicated to creating spaces that are both enduring and creative.
Its name originates from the modal verb “can” — the belief that anything is possible — and from the conviction that when people with a shared vision come together, they can generate extraordinary synergy.
We believe that space holds immense power: it can influence lives, culture, and ultimately improve society.
For this reason, we continuously question and explore what constitutes better direction and better outcomes, grounding our work in a deep reflection on people, space, and the relationships between them.
